Developer Meetup: Noida Chapter 9
On Saturday 30th October 2021, we concluded our Diwali Meetup virtually. We’ve been joined by Aashish Atrey & Hardit Singh as presenters and it was hosted by Prabhat Kumar.
The session was divided into 3 parts:-
- WhatsApp ServiceNow Integration
- Virtual Agent Scenarios
- Fun Quiz (Bollywood ServiceNow theme)
- WhatsApp ServiceNow Integration was quite interactive and interesting as we all know that how WhatsApp plays an imperative role in our daily routine. What if you get a notification of incident or Request ticket details directly on WhatsApp, definitely it would be a boon for the users. Aashish used Twilio as middleware to connect ServiceNow with Whatsapp, its bidirectional integration IHB was used to make REST calls from ServiceNow Flow designer to Twilio which then sends messages to consumers WhatsApp numbers. And to receive messages from WhatsApp to ServiceNow, SRAPI was used which validates the requests and then updates the corresponding ticket in ServiceNow.
- Let’s move to 2nd part of the session i.e. Virtual Agent scenarios, Hardit gave the demo on How dynamic messages can be configured on basis of timezone in Virtual Agent. He imparted the information about the Virtual Agent Academy run by ServiceNow.
Now move to 3rd and the last part of the session i.e. Fun Quiz, it was the most interactive and exciting part of the meetup. There were around 20 questions in the quiz. The time limit that makes this quiz more exciting time limit per question was 20 sec that challenges them all to be on their toes to answer the questions. Harshankar was leading the quiz board initially, Mandar Kametkar and Atul Arora were on 1st and 2nd respectively.
As the tradition says we would be giving away prizes to the people who came next to you or won in non-legends capacity.
